KESGRAVE KARATE CLUB

Proof if proof was needed that Kesgrave Ladies Karate is on the up and up came when two of its most talented ladies topped the annual EKKA Grand Prix table for 2002 in their categories. Victoria Breadman (Green Belt – 7th Kyu) and Laura Clayden (Orange Belt – 9th Kyu)

From Left to right: Laura Clayden, Victoria Breadman, Bill Williams (Chief Instructor), Jack Burrows.

The two have started 2003 as they left off 2003 winning their categories in the first competition of the season. Hardeep Minhas who collected first phase in the men’s sparing section joined them on the rostrum.

Congratulations also to Jack Burrows for gaining a Brown Belt/Black in the March 2003 grading. Jack is one of the youngest to get to this high standard. Other highlights were John Dowsing and Marie-Ann Sherwood-Clarke gaining Brown Belts and Amrit Minhas gaining Purple Belt. Congratulations to all those that passed.

Marie-Ann Sherwood Clarke has also been selected as the Assistant Instructor at the Kesgrave Club.

To those that are interested in Karate but in two minds about joining one of the local Karate Clubs, why not come along to one of the sessions or look out for one of many demonstrations that will be held in the Kesgrave area.
